On the afternoon of 21st August, all the freshmen from Grade 10 attended a special lecture at the School Lecture Hall--the fire safety knowledge lecture, which was delivered by Battalion Chief Yao with Lingbei Public Security Fire Brigade of Anqing City.
To start with, by means of the practical cases and vivid description as well as the shocking pictures, Battalion Chief Yao let students feel the danger of the fire, which was thought-provoking.
In addition, he not only introduced the fire safety system, listed the fire emergency conditions that anyone could encounter in combination with the real life scenario, but also focused on the countermeasures so as to enhance students’ self-rescue ability and security awareness.
Finally, Battalion Chief Yao demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and fire hoses on site. Also, student representatives tried to operate the fire extinguishers and fire hoses themselves so that they had a more direct understanding towards the fire control knowledge. We firmly believe that this lecture will enable students to further intensify their safety awareness.
